If you are a marine, you go through training, get qualified, wear the uniform, and then DO what marines do. If you are a baseball player, you develop skills, come up through the ranks, wear the uniform, and do what baseball players do: get drafted into the MLB. If we are Christians, we don’t just punch our Sunday morning church timeclock, we DO what Christians DO: we LIVE like Christ!
To really be a Christian today means you’re the “R” word- RADICAL. We are called radical extremists when we actually DO what the Bible says. Being a Christian is not a label or badge. It is not an adjective. It is a way of life. So I choose to accept that label! I am a radical extremist for Jesus! I actually believe the Bible is ALL true!
I guess Michael Jordan was a radical extremist basketball player and Tiger Woods is a radical extremist golfer!

March 28, 2011CHANGE! (Not nickels, dimes or quarters)
March 8, 2011God is teaching me a lot about change. As much as I can’t stand change sometimes, it is necessary to grow and move foreward in life. God has increase planned for you. He wants to expand His kingdom through you, but that can’t happen without change.
If we reject change, we reject God’s desire to reach people for eternity. When something in your life is changed, instead of asking God “why”, ask Him what He wants you to learn and who He wants you to reach!
Merry Christmas!
December 19, 2010Just a reminder: As we Americans fill our lives with traditions that fill our schedules and calanders with both joy and stress, we can sometimes forget what Christmas is really all about. It really is not about family. It really is not about gifts. It really is not about time off work. IT REALLY IS ABOUT JESUS!
Happy Birthday Jesus. My gift to you this year is me.
Twinkle twinkle little star
September 27, 2010Look up at the stars. Do you realize that these stars are the very same stars that God told Abraham to look at?! That is amazing to me. God’s creation tells a story if we are willing to hear it. Those same stars are the stars that the wise men watched to forsee the coming birth of Jesus. These are the stars that I look at in wonder and amazement. My God created all those stars with his voice. He created them for me to be filled with awe at His power.
Let’s stop for a second and appreciate the beauty of the heavenly bodies that God made for us!
Unholy burning books Batman!
September 11, 2010A pastor in Florida is planning on burning a stack of Qurans on 9-11-2010. The media is frothing at the mouth with hate toward his intentions (funny from such a tolerant-yeah right- group.) The irony of this story is that if they, THE PRESS, would simply not cover this, then the whole world, who fronts offense at this, would not even know about it! So, for those who say he is bad for doing it, I say that the media is worse for giving him an international platform! Shame on you media! Hypocracy abounds! Leave me your comments, please.
Numbers
September 2, 201017, 12, 7, 6, and almost 1. What do these numbers have in common? They are the ages of my children. This spacing wasn’t planned by us, just by God. It is a really cool position as a parent to see all these levels of childhood experience happening at once. It makes me think of how God sees us. We only see the now and the past of our life, but God sees the future too. He sees us in the past, present and future all at once, sort of like I see my kids in their various ages all at once. He sees who we are becoming. He sees the finished product of his efforts in our life.
Don’t feel bad about the failures and shortcomings in your life. Know that God is still working on you and He loves you! You are one of his children!
Hear God and obey
July 6, 2010I believe the Bible. Every verse. Truths from the Bible should rule our lives, but far too often we listen to the lies of the enemy and live by fear or intimidation. David defeated Goliath because he trusted in God to be his protection. He also did not listen to the words of intimidation the giant was screaming at him.
There is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ (Romans 8:1). Why? Because Jesus took care of sin on the cross. We are obsessed with sin whereas God has already taken care of it on the cross! If we are covered by the blood of Jesus, our sins are forgiven! What that means is, Jesus died on the cross, was buried, went to hades, was brought back to life by God’s power, and returned to heaven. If we accept this sacrifice by Jesus, we will be accepted by God, and this faith is what saves us!
Let’s stop being intimidated by the voice of the enemy in our head that says we can’t do great things for God because of sin we have had in our life. Repent (ask forgiveness and stop doing it). Live by the Spirit and you will not gratify the desires of the sinful nature (Galatians 5:16). This means to hear God and obey. It’s that simple!
Tiger in the Woods
April 10, 2010Tiger Woods. What do you think of when you hear his name? Great golfer……horrible adulterer? Here’s what I think of; a man made in the image of God who is dabbling in a false religion who has it all in this life and thought he was invincible to sin. Tiger doesn’t need golf. He doesn’t need buddah. He doesn’t need everyone judging for him whether he is sincere about his sorrow. What he needs is Jesus and the freedom that comes with salvation.
Nike released this video featuring Tiger’s late father’s voice. It is controversial to some. To me it is brilliant. In a culture that says you cannot judge, I find it ironic how Tiger is being destroyed by that same “non-judging” society. Yes, what he did was horrible, but at least he is showing a commercial indicating that he is confronting the wrong in his life! Most celebrities flaunt their sinful lives in our faces! So watch this video. Who cares if it is damage control or for real. Only Tiger knows that for sure anyway. Lets celebrate a celebrity actually showing contempt for his misdeeds!
